ChildFund is vying to become a partner with CauseWorld, a mobile phone application that allows users to earn donations for their favorite nonprofits just by walking into the storefronts of participating retailers.
The three charities receiving the most votes by Feb. 28 will be invited to become a partner with CauseWorld, opening a new avenue for ChildFund to receive donations.
ChildFund is among 15 causes nominated for the contest.

Citibank and Kraft Foods have donated almost $500,000 to be distributed by CauseWorld users. This donation has been converted into “karmas,” the CauseWorld currency.
CauseWorld users earn “karma points” when they walk into participating stores and check in with their cell phone. No purchase is required at any store, and karma points can be donated to partner nonprofits.
